1. Purpose of the Code of Ethics
The purpose of the Code of Ethics is to define the fundamental ethical and professional principles guiding the company’s operations, ensuring transparency, and promoting responsible and fair business practices. It also aims to provide guidance to employees and partners, supporting them in making decisions aligned with the company’s values and standards. The Code of Ethics fosters trust and respect both in the internal work environment and in business relationships.
2. Scope of the Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics applies to all employees and business partners associated with Revo Union Kft. Acceptance and compliance with the Code is a fundamental and expected requirement for all stakeholders, ensuring ethical, transparent, and responsible cooperation.
3. Content of the Code of Ethics
Revo Union Kft. is committed to minimizing environmental impact, ensuring lawful operations, and effectively enforcing business, ethical, and internal control standards. The company is characterized by a focus on sustainability, long-term thinking, and responsible conduct.
As a law-abiding and ethical company, the entire leadership is committed to upholding and enforcing legal regulations. Our activities fully comply with the relevant environmental and social laws. (See Appendix for more details.)
At Revo Union Kft., it is a fundamental expectation that all employees perform their work competently, with commitment, and ethically. Individual differences should be accepted and appreciated in the workplace, and personal dignity must be respected under all circumstances. Employees are obligated to fully comply with moral and professional standards.
The company expects employees to place high importance on moral and professional integrity and to strive for excellence in both areas in their daily activities.
3.1. Compliance with Laws and Regulatory Requirements
Revo Union Kft.’s partners are obliged to comply with all applicable legal provisions, regulatory decisions, and guidelines relevant to their activities, as well as the industry and organizational norms and ethical standards related to their business operations. They must ensure through proper regulations and training within their organization that employees and executives act in accordance with internal regulations and current legislation during their work.
3.2. Conflict of Interest
Revo Union Kft.’s partners must act transparently and honestly in their business dealings. They are required to disclose to Revo Union Kft. any direct or indirect relationships between the partner and the employees of Revo Union Kft. that may affect business relations and must report such situations immediately.
3.3. Anti-Corruption
Revo Union Kft. is committed to combating corruption and maintains zero tolerance for all forms of bribery and improper advantage. The company ensures full compliance with domestic, EU, and international anti-corruption laws and expects the same from its employees and contractual partners.
Partners are expected to neither promise nor offer any form of advantage or benefit to Revo Union Kft. employees with the intent of gaining business advantage, nor may they demand or offer bribes, gifts, or other valuables in order to secure business opportunities.
3.4. Unlawful Payments and Gifts
In relationships with suppliers, intermediaries, or other agents, influence through gifts or entertainment is not acceptable. This applies to both giving and receiving. Occasional gifts or hospitality consistent with reasonable market ethical norms may be accepted if not excessive or frequent and do not create an impression of influence. Only small, insignificant gifts may be accepted. All other gifts must be politely refused or returned if received as a shipment; if returning is not possible, they should be donated to charity. It is the responsibility of the giver and recipient to evaluate the appropriateness of a gift.
Corruption, including influence peddling, is strictly condemned. This includes giving the impression of improper influence over a decision-maker. Any corruption for the purpose of business gain or other economic advantage is considered a serious offense.
3.5. Fair Business Practices with Consumers, Competitors, and Partners
Our business relationships are based on trust, fair procedures, and a high degree of independence in decision-making. Business decisions must not be influenced by private interests or personal goals.
3.6. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Partners of Revo Union Kft. must protect business secrets in accordance with applicable law, retain them indefinitely, and must not use or disclose them to third parties without prior consent.
Partners must ensure appropriate protection of personal data under their control, implementing adequate security measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and authorized access in accordance with the GDPR and relevant national regulations.
3.7. Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing, and Sanctions
Revo Union Kft. expects its partners to take strong preventive action against money laundering and terrorism financing.
Partners must comply with all applicable economic, financial, and trade sanctions and embargoes imposed by the European Union, the United Nations, and other relevant authorities.
3.8. Safe and Healthy Work Environment
Partners must provide employees with a healthy and modern workplace that meets labor standards and ensure their physical safety and health by providing the necessary occupational, safety, and fire protection training.
3.9. Human Rights and Employee Rights
Partners must protect universal human rights as outlined in international agreements, firmly oppose child labor and forced labor, and treat all employees with fairness and respect.
Employee rights must be upheld, including:
- Fair working conditions and wages
- Right to association and collective bargaining
- Freedom from trafficking, child labor, and forced labor
- Non-discrimination and equal pay for equal work
- Freedom of expression
3.10. Non-Discrimination and Harassment
Equal opportunity must be ensured in employment. Discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior of any kind is not tolerated.
No form of discrimination based on gender, marital status, age, nationality, ethnicity, color, religion, political opinion, disability, sexual orientation, union membership, wealth, birth, or other status is permitted. Discriminatory behavior, harassment, intimidation, or bullying is strictly prohibited.
All employees must adhere to the highest standards of mutual respect in both verbal and written communication, refraining from any behavior that others may find violent, intimidating, humiliating, or offensive.
3.11. Accurate Financial Reporting
All events affecting the company’s operations and business activities must be reported promptly and thoroughly, so that financial reports accurately reflect business transactions and the company’s condition.
We keep our accounting, records, invoices, and financial reports detailed, accurate, and in line with actual transactions. We condemn all forms of money laundering and only do business with partners conducting lawful activities from legitimate sources.
We are committed to fair taxation and reject tax avoidance practices such as failure to issue receipts or submitting false expense invoices. All employees must follow accounting procedures and ensure that economic events are properly recorded and documented.
Tampering with accounting audits or misleading reporting is strictly prohibited.
3.12. Sustainability
Partners of Revo Union Kft. must strive to meet sustainability (ESG) standards, considering their environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G) responsibilities.
3.13. Environmental Protection
Special attention must be paid to supporting the sustainability and social goals of our partners. All applicable environmental and technological regulations must be observed, and measures promoting the reduction of environmental impact from business activities must be enforced.
Revo Union Kft. focuses on waste reduction, recycling, and sustainable resource use. Our operations are based on circular economy principles, including product life extension and support for closed- and open-loop systems.
We aim to meet current needs without compromising future generations and therefore consider environmental, economic, and social factors in all operations and decisions.
We strive to minimize the environmental impact of our activities and reduce the use of finite resources like energy and water, as well as emissions of harmful substances such as waste.
We prioritize electric vehicles in our logistics and operate a circular economy model that reduces manufacturing entry points through reuse. These principles are reflected in both our internal culture and the operation of our facilities.
4. Final Provisions
The company’s ethical business practices are defined in this Code of Ethics. Revo Union Kft. is confident that ethical conduct contributes significantly to performance, competitiveness, and reputation.
This Code ensures that the company operates based on circular economy principles and takes responsibility for its environmental and social impacts.
All employees and business partners are expected to familiarize themselves with, comply with, and follow any updates to this document. The management of Revo Union Kft. has approved and adopted the Code. Company representatives are obligated to uphold it with employees and partners alike.
Any violation of this Code, regardless of the perpetrator, affects the organization as a whole and will result in ethical proceedings.
