RevoUnion Deposit-Based Hybrid System
Based on guest feedback, in 2024 we introduced a new operational model into the RevoUnion Open System: the “Deposit-Based Hybrid System.”
For partners choosing the Hybrid System:
- within the Open System (see: RevoUnion Open System), a RevoCup or Cupler can be exchanged for a general token (physical or digital), and the general token can in turn be exchanged for a RevoCup or Cupler (depending on whether the given location accepts RevoCup and/or Cupler).
- The products (drinks) specified by the partners are sold in a RevoCup or Cupler in exchange for a usage fee and a deposit fee paid by guests (if the guest does not have a RevoCup, Cupler, or a general token).
- For a RevoCup or Cupler purchased at the given hospitality venue (upon return: until closing time at hospitality venues, and until the end of the event at events), the deposit amount will be refunded upon presentation of the receipt proving the purchase.
The usage fee is an amount determined by the partner, which covers, among others, the bank and card scheme commissions related to purchase and refund transactions, as well as the operating costs of the return points.
The deposit fee is a fee payable upon the purchase of RevoCups and Cuplers, which, upon presentation of the “Revenue Receipt” received at the time of purchase (upon return: until closing time at hospitality venues, and until the end of the event at events), shall be refunded to the guest at the return point(s).
