General Terms and Conditions

I. INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONS

The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions („Consumer GTC“) is to regulate the legal relationship between Revo Union Kft. (registered address: 1095 Budapest, Soroksári út 123., Company Registration Number: 01-09-345059, Tax Number: 26791805-2-43), hereinafter referred to as „RevoUnion,“ and Consumers using the Service („Contracting Party“).

In accordance with Section 6:78 (1) of Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code („Ptk.“), RevoUnion provides the Contracting Parties access to the content of the Consumer GTC on the website https://revounion.com/altalanos-szerzodesi-feltetelek. RevoUnion reserves the right to unilaterally modify these Consumer GTC at any time. The modified Consumer GTC shall apply to the Contracting Party from the date of publication. By purchasing a Reusable Cup, the Consumer accepts these contractual terms and acknowledges them as binding.

Please read this document carefully before purchasing a reusable cup from any of our partners.

II. DEFINITIONS

1. Consumer: An individual purchasing a product sold in a RevoCup, Cupler, or RevoBox at the partner’s sales units.
2. RevoUnion Reusable Cup / RevoCup: A reusable cup distributed by RevoUnion, available in different capacities (5cl, 30cl, 40cl, and 50cl) and designs. The base of the cups features the „RevoCup“ label/logo, distinguishing them from other products.
3. Cupler Reusable Cup: A reusable cup distributed by RevoUnion, available in different capacities (25cl and 40cl) and designs. It consists of a cup body and a snap-on lid. The „Cupler“ label/logo is present on the base and the lid, distinguishing it from other products.
4. RevoBox Reusable Food Container: A reusable food container distributed by RevoUnion, available in different capacities (50 cl and 100 cl) and colors. It consists of a container body and a snap-on lid. The top of the containers features the “RevoBox” label/logo, distinguishing them from other products.
5. Reusable Cup: Either a RevoCup or a Cupler reusable cup.
6. Customized Reusable Cup / Partner Reusable Cup: A unique reusable cup not available in RevoUnion’s complete Open System (customized with branding related to a specific partner or program).
7. General Reusable Cup: Any reusable cup that does not qualify as a Customized / Partner Reusable Cup.
8. Partner: A hospitality venue, entertainment facility, sports facility, or other entity operating within the RevoUnion Open System under a contractual agreement with RevoUnion.
9. Cup Fee: The consumer price of each reusable cup, as determined by the Partner. The Cup Fee is non-refundable. (Each Partner sets their own Cup Fee, meaning prices may vary for the same type of reusable cup depending on the Partner. Additionally, different reusable cups at the same Partner may be sold at different prices.)
10. General Token: A physical or digital RevoToken that can be exchanged for a reusable cup within the validity period specified by RevoUnion in the Open System.
11. Physical Token: A token issued by RevoUnion, made from recycled plastic.
12. Physical Token Validity Period: The security-determined period during which a Physical Token can be exchanged for a General Reusable Cup. The validity period for tokens associated with serial numbers (SN) is available at https://revounion.com/pdfs/CR_SN_Validity. RevoUnion reserves the right to extend the validity period of Physical Tokens.
13. RevoToken Application: A mobile application available for free download from Google Play and the App Store.
14. RevoBox Application: A mobile application available for free download from Google Play and the App Store.
15. Digital Token / RevoToken: A token that, during the test period starting September 1, 2022, could only be exchanged for RevoCup or Cupler at certain Partners within the Open System. Please check the list of available Partners in the RevoToken application. Digital Tokens do not have an expiration date. Tokens obtained during the test period remain fully usable after the test period ends.
16. RevoUnion Open System: A network of commercial and hospitality establishments operated by RevoUnion Partners, where designated products are sold in Reusable Cups for a Cup Fee, and Reusable Cups can be exchanged for General Tokens, or General Tokens for General Reusable Cups.

III. THE SYSTEM

The purpose of the RevoUnion Reusable Cup Open System (hereinafter: System) is to protect the environment by reducing waste at events, hospitality venues, entertainment facilities, and sports venues by replacing disposable plastic cups with reusable cups. Additionally, the unique design of reusable cups serves as an effective communication tool, enhancing the consumer experience.

The System is operated by Revo Union Kft. (registered address: 1095 Budapest, Soroksári út 123., Company Registration Number: 01-09-345059, Tax Number: 26791805-2-43).

System Operation:

1. The Consumer purchases a reusable cup at a Partner’s commercial or hospitality venue for a Cup Fee.
2. The Consumer may exchange the used reusable cup at any Partner (during business hours):
3. For a clean General Reusable Cup when purchasing another drink.
4. For a General Token.
5. The Consumer may exchange the General Token (within its validity period) for a General Reusable Cup at any Partner.

Conditions for Consumers to Exchange Used Reusable Cups (for a Clean Cup or a Token):

1. Damaged, unusable reusable cups (e.g., deformed, cracked, burnt, scratched, or vandalized) cannot be exchanged.
2. Tokens cannot be exchanged for reusable cups in commercial quantities.
3. Reusable cups cannot be exchanged for tokens in commercial quantities.

Conditions for Consumers to Exchange Tokens (for a Clean Reusable Cup):

1. Tokens cannot be exchanged for reusable cups in commercial quantities.

The Consumer acknowledges that if they exchange a Customized / Partner Reusable Cup (which was purchased for a potentially higher Cup Fee) for a General Token, the received General Token can only be redeemed for a General Reusable Cup without any surcharge.

The individual General Terms and Conditions of events, hospitality venues, entertainment facilities, and sports venues operated by Partners are available on the respective Partner’s website or other communication platforms.
